Interpreting Services

DCI's Interpreting Services is a totally unique sign language interpreter referral agency in Illinois.  The staff are fluent in American Sign Language and possess personal and professional knowledge of deaf culture and interpreting needs.  We are proud of our excellent staff and highly qualified interpreters, and we pledge to provide you with the most professional interpreter services possible.

Our goal at DCI is to expeditiously match clients with qualified interpreters.  To do this we employ a very powerful, but user friendly internet based software called INTERPRiNET™.  We are the only interpreter service in Illinois authorized to use this revolutionary system, which was developed by a deaf-owned software company specifically to facilitate scheduling of ASL interpreters.

Since both public and private organizations must now comply with new laws regulating communication for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing, the demand for interpreters has increased dramatically.  Traditional interpreter services are often hard pressed to handle the resulting increased volume of requests.  The INTERPRiNET™ system, however, can greatly facilitate the often frustrating and time consuming task of scheduling an interpreter.

Understanding an individual's communication needs is perhaps the primary factor in effective interpreting.  Our web application can match qualified interpreters to customer requirements using the speed and convenience of the internet...no more telephone tag and miscommunication.  Simply schedule your request on your computer and DCI will take it from there.

As Albert Einstein said, "Out of clutter, find simplicity".  Our goal at DCI is to simplify the communication between customers and interpreters and ultimately between deaf and hearing people.
