Speech to Text Service

DCI's Speech to Text Service is an unique captionist referral agency in Illinois.  The staff are fluent in American Sign Language and possess personal and professional knowledge of deaf culture and communication needs.  We are proud of our excellent staff and highly qualified captionists, and we pledge to provide you with the most professional speech to text service possible.

The captionists use computer based "speech to print" transcription system used as a support service option for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. The system can be used in the educational environment, business meetings, seminars and any other setting that you feel would benefit from using the service.

A captionist types the lecture or meeting content into a laptop computer. The typed information appears on the consumers laptop simultaneously, so the consumer can follow along during the class or meeting. These notes may then be e-mailed to the consumer for review purposes.
