"I know deaf people. I have discussed the issues with them I've also thought about them a lot so I have some insights that go a little further than people who haven't had contact with the deaf community."
-Richard Masur, actor.
ASL Class
Deaf Communication by Innovation is proud to announce the expansion of its services to include instruction in American Sign Language (ASL). Our instructors are native ASL users, who are screened and personally selected by Raymond Rodgers, a native ASL user, who holds degrees from Gallaudet University and Loyola University, and is the founder and CEO/President of Deaf Communication by Innovation (DCI), the only Deaf-owned & operated communication services agency in Illinois. Class size is limited to only 18 students to ensure individual attention and training.
American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary language of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities in the United States and Canada. Whether you have Deaf co-workers or customers, friends or family, or you are simply curious about signing, our course will introduce you to the basics of this visual style of communication. You will build your sign vocabulary and begin to understand ASL's unique grammar, while becoming acquainted with aspects of Deaf Culture.
DCI is excited to announce about our new additionals to our current ASL Instruction service: One on One ASL Instruction, ASL Tutoring and Video Instruction/Tutoring. Starting today, we are available to provide those three new additionals. Please do feel free to contact us for more information about our new additionals. If you're interested in using one of our new ASL instruction services, contact us and let us know!
DCI is also thrilled that our ASL Classes are expanding in number of attendees. To fulfill the community demand, we've scheduled a second term for this winter, starting this February 9th.
